Abandoning a well established printing press after quarrelling with his business partner, Dhundiraj Govind Phalke, finds himself unemployed and struggling to make ends meet. One day he accidentally comes across a tent theatre where a silent motion picture from Hollywood is being screened.

The mesmerizing moving images take over his imagination and inspire an idea of genius - finding a way to make India's first feature film. Phalke starts to pursue his dream and with his hardworking wife and two enthusiastic kids by his side, he discovers how to make a movie. Despite meagre resources, he finds a dedicated cast and crew, and on the sheer strength of his dogged determination, his film, 'Raja Harishchandra', is finally released in 1913.

To Phalke's amazement, the audience falls instantly in love with the movie and is entranced to see a tale so familiar to them, come alive on the screen. This is a film about Phalke, now known as the father of Indian cinema, and tells the wonderful story of a man whose passion for movie-making turns his life, and the lives of all those around him, into an amazing adventure.

Synopsis:
Phua Chu Kang is back and kicking into the big screens! The movie depicts how Phua Chu Kang has been making a mark for himself in Malaysia. Ah Ma came to visit but went missing in an instant. Phua Chu Kang eventually tracks her down in an old folks home and accidentally got himself a renovation job. All come to a screeching halt when he discovers the real reason behind Ah Ma's strange insistence to help some old folks at the home who are dropping dead one by one. On the other hand Rosie is kept busy being the centre of attention for both Frankie Foo and Mr Lim, the owner of the old folks home. Will Rosie and Phua Chu Kang be able to weather through this? And will Phua Chu Kang and Ah Ma be able to find out what is the real reason behind the deaths at the home or is it simply, they got old?

Tanjong Rhu

Synopsis: A former military officer seeks closure by making a documentary film about a man whom he had furtively encountered in Tanjong Rhu many years ago. Tanjong Rhu is a secluded beach on the east coast of Singapore, and a popular cruising ground for gay men. In an entrapment exercise in 1993, 12 men were arrested there and sentenced to imprisonment and caning. This is a fictionalised account of what has happened since then to one of these men.

Boo Junfeng is one of Singapore's most prolific young filmmakers. Since 2005 his short films have won several awards at the Singapore International Film Festival, including Best Director, Best Cinematography, Special Jury Prize, Special Achievement Award and twice for Best Film. He was also the first recipient of the McNally Award for Excellence in the Arts - the valedictorian honour of Lasalle College of the Arts and the latest recipient of the Young Artist Award from the National Arts Council of Singapore.

The Last Airbender

Ocean Heaven

One person out of every thousand is born with autism. It follows that China has over one million autism patients. David is one of them: he looks absent-minded, repeats other peoples words, swims with amazing ease, keeps everything at home in exact order and maybe he is not totally aware of his mothers death some years ago. Working in an aquarium, Sam Wong takes tender care of this twenty-two-year-old son of his. With the generous help of the neighbors, the two live happily together. Yet, the father understands very well that in the end, he will have to depart from the world, leaving his son alone and that day will come sooner than everyone is ready to believe.

This film is an ode to a father who is determined to find shelter for his son before it is too late. In the process, the boy achieves a measure of independence necessary for both to let go.
