Balthazar Blake (NICOLAS CAGE) is a master sorcerer in modern-day Manhattan trying to defend the city from his arch-nemesis, Maxim Horvath (ALFRED MOLINA). Balthazar can't do it alone, so he recruits Dave Stutler (JAY BARUCHEL), a seemingly average guy who demonstrates hidden potential, as his reluctant protg. The sorcerer gives his unwilling accomplice a crash course in the art and science of magic, and together, these unlikely partners work to stop the forces of darkness. It'll take all the courage Dave can muster to survive his training, save the city and get the girl as he becomes THE SORCERER'S APPRENTICE.

I’ve always love Nicolas Cage’ movies, including this! Just that the "love story" of the younger gens in the movie were too "high-school-ish" kind. i was hoping to see more of Cage’ love story behind the ancient secrets...

This movie doesn’t compliment Nicolas Cage’s acting skills at all. Predictable plot and some pretty decent graphics. Well, you can’t complain when Walt Disney wants to capture adults n children crowd.. Good to just past your time with..

If you are watching the show because Nicolas Cage, you will be disappointed. This movie is a big disappointment. The actor played ’Dave’ was such a lousy actor. He was practically reading scripts. So so boring and predictable.

The show contains good graphics.A bit of comical moments to brighten up the show. However, i feel that the training process of becoming a sorcerer is too abrupt and vague which make him suddenly become so powerful at the end of the show unconvincing.
