"Edge of Darkness" is an emotionally charged thriller set at the intersection of politics and big business. Thomas Craven (Mel Gibson) is a veteran homicide detective for the Boston Police Department and a single father. When his only child, twenty-four year-old Emma (Bojana Novakovic), is murdered on the steps of his home, everyone assumes that he was the target. But he soon suspects otherwise, and embarks on a mission to find out about his daughter's secret life and her killing.

His investigation leads him into a dangerous, looking glass world of corporate cover-ups, government collusion and murder and to shadowy government operative Darius Jedburgh (Ray Winstone), who has been sent in to clean up the evidence. Craven's solitary search for answers about his daughter's death transforms into an odyssey of emotional discovery and redemption.

A touching and fantastic movie! The movie expresses the love between the father and daughter. Experienced and versatile actor Mel Gibson really touches the audiences heart. It was really heart breaking for those who had ever lose their loved ones.

A good movie with Mel Gibson as the lead. Story can be abit confusing in the beginning but eventually the whole plot can be understood.

A great political-thriller about governments and their secrets.Gibson was at his usual best and Martin has lived up to his hypes after directing films like Kite Runner and Quatum of Solace. In all, a watchable movie for those who love political-drama.

This is not an Action Movie but Mel shines in this. There are lot of stretched talk scenes but suite the nature of a dark movie. Story PREDICTABLE, Acting EXCELLENT, Thrills NONE, Rapid Car Chases NONE,Screenplay GOOD. Not a must watch but once watch
