Inspired by the classic Universal film that launched a legacy of horror, The Wolfman brings the myth of a cursed man back to its iconic origins. Oscar winner Benicio Del Toro stars as Lawrence Talbot, a haunted nobleman lured back to his family estate after his brother vanishes.

Reunited with his estranged father (Oscar winner Anthony Hopkins), Talbot sets out to find his brotherand discovers a horrifying destiny for himself. Lawrence Talbots childhood ended the night his mother died. After he left the sleepy Victorian hamlet of Blackmoor, he spent decades recovering and trying to forget. But when his brothers fiance, Gwen Conliffe (Emily Blunt), tracks him down to help find her missing love, Talbot returns home to join the search. He learns that something with brute strength and insatiable bloodlust has been killing the villagers, and that a suspicious Scotland Yard inspector named Aberline (Hugo Weaving) has come to investigate.

As he pieces together the gory puzzle, he hears of an ancient curse that turns the afflicted into werewolves when the moon is full. Now, if he has any chance at ending the slaughter and protecting the woman he has grown to love, Talbot must destroy the vicious creature in the woods surrounding Blackmoor. But as he hunts for the nightmarish beast, a simple man with a tortured past will uncover a primal side to himselfone he never imagined existed.

The wolf looks silly; the story lame; and the supposedly scary bits cheap tricks. The acting was nondescript, with SAH sounding like he always does. But one detects a certain lack of conviction in his latest bit part...Watch if you dare.

Give a rating of 2/5. Quite disappointed in this movie. The show is quite dry and draggy at times. Expect it to have more action or thriller scenes. I saw some of the movie goers fell asleep while watching this movie. Storyline is predictable.

A great film living up to good standards. The story does not move at a great pace which may seem to be a disappointment for many. Nevertheless, the film was very enjoyable and entertaining and is definitely, worth a watch.
My rating : 7.5/10

It had a good start but got draggy after that. The exciting part was gone in a flash. Not much excitment. Expected ending too.

Werewolf in the English moorlands, filmed in the Christopher Lee’s genre. Continuous suspense employing surprises to shock you and keep you on the edge. With Anthony Hopkins and Benicio del Toro putting on convincing performances and a good script.

I was hesitant to watch this at 1st because of the reviews here, but when I saw it I was glad I didn’t let myself be swayed by others opinion. It is nice, dark, but a nice remake. Its like watching those 1930s film with better visual effects.
