DUPLICITY is a slick, Soderberghian comic caper in which it's never exactly clear who is being conned. It's easy to see that ex-CIA agent Claire Stenwick (Julia Roberts) and former MI6 member Ray Koval (Clive Owen) have a heated history together when they embark on an elaborate mission of corporate espionage. Two rival CEOs (played by the always fantastic Tom Wilkinson and Paul Giamatti) are battling for the top spot in their industry, and a top-secret new product would determine who would wear the crown. But this isn't just about business innovation and profit: Claire and Ray have a plan that would help them get the prized formula and walk away with millions.

A smart, captivating thriller that’s tons of fun to boot. The scenes sizzle and spark, and the twists and turns and backstabbing and intrigue are endlessly entertaining.

Flashbacks can be an interesting and captivating tool to use sometimes, but this movie uses it too excessively. The storyline is rather typical as well. Not as good as I expected. Overall: 4.5/10

Good story line and Julia Roberts still has it!!! Wow!
The couple, Julia and Clive, is a perfect match on the silver screen as they compliment each other!

It’s an interesting show. Partly becos I like Julia Roberts. On the whole, the movie was filled with mystery. Throughout the movie, I had to be focused in order to follow the story line, but the storyline was quite ingenious in some way. Worth it!

A pretty good show. Not a typical hollywood blockbuster as one would expect and there is almost an ’indie’ feel to it. Takes some concertration to follow the story line, however, the reward is fulfilling. Dialogues were sharp and Roberts was charming

Not a bad movie. Confusing during the flashbacks, cleared up as movie continues. Some funny dialogues between the Ray and Claire where they are saying things that they do not mean but they pretty much know what each other meant :)

Very confusing, flashbacks on timeline totally made it worse. The only reason that is deserves 2/5 is cos of the cast. The on-screen couple,Julia Roberts is simply wonderful(alwaz charming the crowd with her megawatt smile)& Clive Owen is just as good.

Probably the most confusing show I’ve ever watched. The "past-and-present" plot makes it even harder to understand what the show is all about. Especially the part which talks about before both of them went to the company, it was totally irrelavent.

This movie wd be easier to watch 2nd time around, notwithstanding tt part of the fun is supposed to be in the many twists & turns one wd already know abt by then. Cos the way the movie moves back & forth to various time frames is jarring & confusing.

As with Michael Clayton, Gilroy’s second feature features impressive writing but less than stellar directing. The two leads deliver their lines with aplomb but are short of sizzling. The flashbacks are annoying, affecting the pacing of the film. 7/10
