True Legend is the extraordinary journey of a man - a martial arts hero - whose greatest dream is to create a unique school of martial arts for the world to follow.

All his life, Su Can has been pursuing the summit in martial arts. There are two things he holds dearest to his heart - the dream of creating a unique kind of martial arts that will pass on to generations; and his beloved wife. Su has a happy family and his wife is the joy of his life. But owing to a turn of fate and Su's own stubbornness, he loses his wife and his family is destroyed.

After losing his wife, Su cannot live with himself and collapses totally. He is drunk all the time and becomes a crazy beggar in everyone's eyes. Everyday, his young son ties him with a piece of rope and leads him through the streets, greeted by people's curious and disdainful gazes.

But all this time during his spiritual exile, his dream for the highest peak in martial arts is still alive. In his madness, Su continues his practice, to perfect his skills and fists.

An action movie that includes another familiar historical figure’s life. Would be better if this movie is shown at a much smoother flow as a whole instead of presenting in three different parts. Great kungfu but scenes with Jay Chou make no sense.

Good: the kung fu scenes were well filmed. Again, Yuen Woo Ping shows us he’s almost peerless in filming kung fu scenes in the present day and age. A return to form for Vincent Zhao as well. Bad: Every scene with Jay Chou in it looked ridiculous.

Loved the first 40 mins of the movie... Wld have been a great movie had there, not been the last fight segments which weakend the storyline :- venom fist was defeated easily with less damage sustained than the characters pitted at the end.

This movie reminds me of "Huo Yuan Jia" the Jet Li Movie screen last time. Around the same plot where there is a fighting stage. However, the show is pretty much fast forward. It is still a miracles of how can he master his skills through drinking!

It’s really two-stories-in-one-movie, just following the same character. Action sequences are good, althought the plot’s a bit weak. Good emotional aspect to it too, so overall, a pretty good action movie.

Good from the start... 2/3 through the show... Disappointment begins to show... Tiring, I would dare say... Similiar platform from "Fearless"... Hard to link up the storyline.... Watch only if you™are a diehard kung fu fan....
