To have so many men sacrificing their lives for one is overwhelming! Great story plot! Great acting by excellent actors! You don’t have to love history to love this movie! 4.5 popcorns for Bodyguards & Assassins!

A touching movie, like most of the characters except sun & xu. Many ordinary ppl, becos of family love, friendship, loyalty & love, are willing to sacrifice their life to protect sun. Li yutang is a real hero, ppl join becos of believe in him.

imho this film not for die hard kung-fu action fans, especially Donnie Yen & Nicholas Tse’s fans (seems like someone more "nerdy" is getting most of the action instead); and be prepared for a long lesson in history -.-!!!

Well, Its all abt protecting Sun Yat Sen and getting so many people involved to die. There are not much fighting scenes from Donnie Yen which i was expecting. Overall, keep feeling something’s missing somewhere.

Overall, i like the story plot on how the different heroes sacrifices themselves to protect the "One man who holds a nations fate" However, i had expected more actions from Donnie Yen since he is the main lead, if not it will be fantastic.

The ending seems unreal (should have shot at the bad guy MUCH earlier despite so many people have died) and the beginning is draggy. However, the plot is solid which mainly descibes how loyal the people are to their country. 3.5/5 popcorns for me.
