Nothing like it in the novel but I guess that’s the point of the director.. For most of the show is mainly on strategizing and spying etc.. War scene is not as great as compared to many others but still loves the battle of wits...

Red Cliff II is inferior to its predecessor despite it being an averagely decent film. The highly-anticipated climatic naval battle turns out to be a mess with uncharacteristically poor direction from John Woo. 7/10.
