A movie that begins as a mocking-comedy toward the government and then finishes up as a tear-jerker drama. A clear depiction of Singapore’s condition today. Thumbs up for the person who acts as the ’mother’. Old but talented and also very emotional.

Alike MNE1, it featured the twist of fate from poor to rich and back to poor.
With the additional touch of family bondings & the stir of emotions, it’s definitely much better than MNE1.
A good comedy to laugh all your unhappiness & worries away!

You can call this movie many things: A feature-length showcase for a multitude of products. A random collection of Singaporean complaints. An unfunny comedy. A clumsy drama. But what you can’t call it is good. I call it a waste of 2 hours of my life.

The starting of the film might be abit of a ’turned-off’, with the over dosed of CGI and advertisement for various brands. It gets better in the middle and ends of with an emotional touch. The story is more on family ties than on money matters.

Jack Neo may be Singapore’s most popular filmmaker, but he can never achieve what Royston Tan or Eric Khoo have done for Singapore cinema. Money No Enough 2 is a change in direction for Neo’s career; he now understands the value of emotion in film.

This film, despite its melodrama, tackiness and popularist approach, is still an important film that imparts important family and social values to Singaporeans-a rare gem that protrays’ Singaporeans’ grouses so accurately with Jack’s comic touch.
